This is really frustrating.
I bought the console.. maybe a month and a half ago? Everything was great, I put in a bunch of hours on MK8 and no issues whatsoever. I hadn't turned my console on for about a week, until yesterday.
Yesterday I popped it on and synced up the included red Mario wiimote for the first time ever so I could play with a friend. Things were OK picking characters but then the game crashed on the parts select screen. By crash, the screen just froze on the most recent image, there was no sound as far as I could tell, and the same thing with the gamepad. The gamepad did let me access the TV remote feature but nothing else.
I did a hard reboot and tried again. The game crashed on the character select screen. Again and it crashed on the MK8 menu.
I rebooted again and tried leaving it on the Wii U menu and it didn't last but 30 seconds before crashing. So it's not an issue with the disc. =(
What should I do? I'm in Canada btw. Is there some issue with the latest firmware? Is there issues with the MK8 bundle? I don't understand why it would work so flawlessly and then be virtually useless.
EDIT: I have tried leaving it unplugged - the console was unplugged from any power source for all last night and when re-plugged in I got a crash again today.
