Miiverse 'favorite post' issue

I have a Nintendo WiiU / Club Nintendo profile setup on both my WiiU and 3ds. My girlfriend has a profile on the WiiU and has one on her 3ds as well. I was able to make posts in Miiverse just fine. I was also able to set one of my posts up as a 'favorite post' and it displayed just fine. My girlfriend was also in the same good shape.

Now the Miiverse patch came out and also MK8 was released. I played MK8 on release day and I was trying to make posts on Miiverse about MK8. Here is where the trouble started. I was able to see my own posts, but other people could not. My girlfriend could not see any of my posts on either the WiiU or on her 3ds. I tried resetting my 'favorite post' back to an old Animal Crossing post but it is not working correctly.

In my profile my old Animal Crossing post was shown as my 'favorite post' but if I went back to the general WiiU menu...my profile had nothing being displayed anymore over my Miis head (artwork for example). My Mii just walked around saying I had been using the internet. It didn't even acknowledge the fact I was playing MK8.

My girlfriend tried to make a new Animal Crossing post and it worked fine. She then made it her 'favorite post' and it workrd fine. We saw it on both her account and mine.

Then she tried to make a MK8 post. Neither one of us could see the post. Then she tried to make it her 'favorite post' and her Mii glitched the same way mine did. Her Mii did not show that she had been playing MK8, nor did it display the selected 'favorite post'.

Now we assumed it was being buggy because it was launch day for MK8. But as the days passed our 'favorite post' still will not show up nor will the icon for what game we have been recently playing. My icon is stuck on Internet and hers is blank and will not change.

We tried deleting all the MK8 Miiverse posts incase that was causing the glitch. No change. We tried making newer posts. Posting them showed up in the Miiverse forum but selecting the new post as 'favorite post' did nothing. No change.

Called Nintendo and got 'the higher up techs will look into it but may or may not get back to you' which no one got back to me.

All these issues started with MK8.

Any ideas?
