Having problems since yesterday

I didn't even know about the WII U until Sunday,22 Dec, when my grandson was raving about it.  I searched my heart out and finally located GameStop and paid extra to have it delivered before Christmas.  It was delivered approx 3:00p.m. Christmas Eve.  My grandson was so surprised and excited because he didn't know he was getting it.  (It's an early birthday present.)  The bad thing is he has been disappointed evey since we tried to set it up.  We got it updated to most current version and he set up his Mii.  That was as far as it went.  Couldn't get anyone on the phone because no one was working Christmas Day.  That didn't bother me because I want workers to be with their families on Christmas.  My son went home disappointed; he is with his other grandmother today.  I wanted do bad to surprise him when he is back to my home on Friday with a working WII U.  I finally talked to Rachel who guided me thru setting up a Network ID because everytime I tried to input the Code or Serial Number, I got the message invalid info.  I tried another option and it kept saying I had to have a Network ID.  Anyway Rachel got me set up.  I then went to redeem the code for one of the free games; it started downloading and I lost my connection.  When I got back in and tried to reinput the PIN/Code, it said Code already redeemed.  I went over to Mydownloads and tried to download again, and it kept putting me in a loop to never never land.  I then check on my downloaded content since somewhere it showed me the game had been downloaded.  There is nothing there.  I also received a message that due to the size of the file, I needed extra external storage.  (32GB unit and nothing is downloaded yet; the game was less that 60MB.)  I am too afraid to try to redeem the second game.  This is the most frustrating **** I've ever encountered.  You did ruin my grandson's Christmas and to top it off, your guys are receiving cries of help from so many purchasers and instead of Nintendo having extended hours to make this nightmare go away, you still open/close at the same time--business as usual.  If I am not able to to have this device working by tomorrow, who do I pack it up and send it back to.  I want every cent I payed reimbursed back to me (including 2-day shipping and taxes).  Nintendo knew this product's website wasn't ready for prime time and yet, you let it loose on an unsuspecting public.  SHAME ON YOU FOR MESSING UP SO MANY CHILDREN'S (AND GROWN FOLKS AS WELL) Christmas.  Please make this right in a very fast hurry.
