So I bought my Wii U deluxe and I have had it since launch day. I don't play it frequently, only turning it on every now and then and since I'm in college, I pretty much left it home and the last time I touched it or turned it on was in September. Two days ago I tried playing the Wii U, however, after several attempts, the system would not turn on. The only thing I get is this blinking red light. I decided to call their customer service which I have a really good impression of because of the last phone call I had with them, however this time, it doesn't seem to be the case. The person I spoke to had a very sassy attitude (which I found quite amusing LOL). I explained my problem to him and we went through the common procedure (such as resetting the system, unplugging cords etc etc.) and it still wouldn't turn on. What got me was when he started telling me to update my system and see if that worked. I told him how in the world am I supposed to the update the system when it doesn't turn on? He proceeded to tell me that I should take it to a friend's house or a relative's house for wifi connection and I asked him the same question again, in which he just repeats the same thing and said "Have a nice Christmas" and I just said you too and hung up. After a few hours, I tried again to turn on the system and behold, it actually turned on so I immediately updated the system. However, a few hours after turning it off, I noticed the red blinking light was back. The guy on the phone also told me it would be $180 just to repair the system which is absurd for a console which broke and I barely touched it. Any suggestions?
