Hi all,
Yesterday my four year old sun deleted all save data of a Wii U game, and I lost save data of a game with 50+ more ours of game time.
I know he should not play alone etc etc, but even if you sit next to it, these things can happen with little kids.
Thats why I started thinking about backing up save games.

I inserted a USB drive, formatted and followed the guide to game data (copy, not move) to my USB device.
After that I removed a save entry from Super Mario 3D , and after that I followed the same steps to Restore Game data from USB to the same Wii U device.
Unfortunately the test entry which I had removed from Super Mario 3D has not come back after the restore.
That makes me wonder, if it is even possible to restore save games from USB, on the SAME Wii U device ?
Or did I do something wrong ?
