MK8 Bundled Wii U Constantly Freezing and Saying Too Far Away From Console

Hello,

I got the MK8 Bundled Wii U for Christmas. I was enjoying it a lot but recently there's been an issue with it.

When I'm playing my game, the screen suddenly freezes and says I'm too far away from the console.

I have 2 games, MK8 and Splatoon. The freezing happens during Mario kart more than splatoon.

Here is a list of what I've done so far:

-syncing the gamepad (said it was already synced)

- unplugging the Wii U

-ignoring it (Mario Kart 8 is unplayable now)

I live in Canada, by the way.
