Can't Connect To Nintendo Servers

So, I got my Wii U a little less than a month ago and it has been working just fine. It connected to the internet and I could access all the needed content. However, a week ago, I lost the ability to conect to the Nintendo servers. I am connected to the internet and I know that it definitely IS working, since the internet browser works just fine. However, any game/app that requires connecting to the Nintendo Network does not work.

Whenever I try to start something (system update, eshop, online play, Netflix, etc.) it will pop up a message box saying "Signing in to Nintendo Network" or "Preparing Update" (whatever it's trying to do) for about two or three seconds. Then it will disappear replaced, by an error message with the error code 105-4235. followed by the message:

"Unable to connect to the server.

Either the server is experiencing high traffic volumes or a server error has occurred. Please try again later."

I entered the error code into the support site and followed their instructions, but nothing works. I even called the support number and they couldn't help. There was a bit of a snow storm, so I thougt that that might have been what had been causing it, but it is still down a week later and, according to their websites, their servers are working at peek performance. If anyone has experienced this problem and ways to fix it, please let me know!
