Dreaded R button might be sticking on the gamepad

I remember having this issue with the old Nintendo DS's back in the day, haha.

I got my Wii U for Christmas, and I think the R shoulder button is starting to ever so slightly stick.  This is could be me just being overly paranoid, but is there anything I can do to fix this?  Is this normal?  Do I need a toothbrush or something?
