Hi everyone,
my kids (8 and 6) got a Wii U from Santa. We come from WII and loved it, both kids own each one a 3DS XL and love it. We have 4 Wii Remote controllers plus 4 Nunchucks. I read about the Wii U a bit, wondered about the gamepad controller reason to exist... the WII was perfect under the controller aspect.
Here's my problem: titles like Splatoon and Lego Marvel Avengers require the gamepad in any case! Can you imagine explaining little kids that one has to the play on the Wii Remote plus Nunchuck while the other can use the gamepad? Of course both of them are eager to use the gamepad and no one wants to play with the Wii Remote ! What was Nintendo's objective here: families with single kid? I tried to use the Wii U (5.5.0 E) with the gamepad out of reach but to no avail... this is a mess! Is there a possibility to turn that thing off and use other controllers instead? If not, should I buy a second gamepad, is that the final objective? Nintendo, the graphics update was due, but what you did with the controller meets only our disappointment...
