I just bought Wii Fit U (game only), as I already bought the Wii Fit Meter and the Wii Balance Board separately.
When I booted my system up, I inserted the disc, and it asked me to install an update. After a few minutes, it loaded the title screen, played the music for a few seconds, and that's when I heard the disc stop spinning and the music stop.
I have checked the quality of the disc and it is near immaculate with virtually no scratches.
I have also deleted the update and tried to boot the game without it, but unfortunately the update is mandatory and it will not let you boot the game. Disk/Memory usage space on my console isn't an issue as well, since I have around 4GB left of storage and the update file for Wii Fit U is only 180MB.
I have tried to disconnect from the internet and boot the game as well, but that also does not work; still the same Wii Fit U title screen with no apparent disk activity whatsoever.
Is anyone else running into this problem? I have found nothing on it online and I see that the last Wii Fit U review from Amazon was from September, and no one has reported any problems.
