I purchased my wii u a little over one year ago, and my gamepad's gyroscope seems to have died. No movement left/right is detected, and up/down is very wonky and sporadic. Playing splatoon is impossible.
The model of the system is the New Super Mario Bros U + New Super Luigi U deluxe bundle, purchased sometime in July of last year. I had registered it under Club Nintendo, so I should still be under warranty since Club Nintendo offers extended warranty.
My questions are:
Do I still qualify for a free repair or replacement?
What is my next step? Should I call nintendo's hotline, or just go ahead and schedule a repair?
When I do send it in, what exactly should be inside the package I send?
