I'm only getting about 7 or 8 megabits per second download with a LAN adapter on my Wii U. Is this a problem with the Wii U? What is Nintendo's explination of why it is so slow?
Background: I bought the LAN adapter because 2.4 Ghz is really slow (maybe because so much interference). I use 5Ghz Wifi at home which is about 60 mbps on my iPhone, but before that 2.4Ghz was around 2-3 mbps with all devices. The LAN upgrade on the Wii U made the device usable so the videos on the eShop can actually play without stopping all the time, but it is far from close to the 100mps I was expecting using the online speed test. My iMac has a wired ethernet connection which is gigabit and I get over 119 mbps on that using a speed test.
