So, for about two weeks now, I've been pretty much unable to connect to the internet with my wii u. I've done everything I could to make it work.
The router is not the problem : It hasn't been touched for a few months at the least, and I've got a pc, a mac and multiple Ipods able to connect to it with a perfect connection.
The console, the router or anything that's between the two has not moved for a few months, while the problem only started two weeks ago. Nothing's blocking the signal.
I've tried to connect ; the errors that keep coming back are 103-1601, 103-1602, 103-1603, 103-1604, 103-1605. The error message is always the same : no access point is detected, even though when I go to the available networks, the wii u detects the router with a 3-bar connection. It's like it loses the signal when it tries to connect to it.
The result is the same if I manually enter everything: the ssid the same i get on my other devices, the ip address that i get from cmd : ipconfig on my computer, and DNS settings being 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. No proxy server, default MTU value.
I have verified that I am entering the right security settings and password.
I've tried adding 10 to the ip address, same results.
I've tried disconnecting all my devices from the network, with only my wii u left.
I have tried the "forced reset", by holding the power button for over ten seconds.
I have tried leaving my console completely unplugged for over 24h.
Nothing worked.
Now, for the stranger stuff : I have tried, without moving the console or the router, unplugging almost everything out of the wii u. I have only kept the bare minimum : the power cable that is plugged into the wall. No TV, no USBs, no wiimotes connected to it.
It worked. I even managed tp start up black ops 2. However, the second I plug anything else into it, the connection vanishes.
The console (black 32 Gb wii u) is about 18 months old. Pretty sure the warranty is expired.
I've tried all I could find on the Internet; I am starting to feel hopeless..... Help !
