Alright here's the story.
So one of my friends gained Elite status on Club Nintendo. He claimed Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze as his prize, but seeing that he already had the disc version, he sent the code to me. I checked out the file size on the eShop only to find out it was WAY above what my Deluxe model could hold. So, I fished out a fully operational (AC-powered) external HDD and hooked it up to the console. It formatted in seconds and everything was a-go.
I inputted the code on the eShop and the download began. After about 2 hours, it was complete and I started it up, only to be met with Error Code 160-2713. I forced-shut down the system then turned the HDD off and disconnected it. I waited a bit and hooked everything back up. I tried the process again, only to be met with the same error. I then took the HDD to my computer and formatted it, and everything was working fine there. I took the unit back to my Wii U and I decided to test out something else. I went ot Data Management and moved Nano Assault NEO (Demo) over to the drive and guess what? It ran fine!
After that, I re-downloaded Tropical Freeze for the second time, and then started it up. Like before, it made it past the start-up screen, and then boom - another error message. Now here we are.
I'm honestly stumped here. This is my first time using my external HDD on my Wii U. About 2 years ago I used a flash drive successfully, but that's too small for Tropical Freeze. Any tips? Has anyone else experienced something similar? Please, respond quickly. I always planned to pick up TP, but never got around to it. Now I got it for free and I can't even play it. With TW101 sitting on my system, I'd have to remove that in order to play, and I just got it 2 weeks ago so I don't want to do that.
Please help.
