Wiiu Gamepad not on but console is

Some days ago my wii u was working and my soon to be step dad had it and he was making controls for Ssb then the screen got shady and then off and it won't come on I tried to re sync it but it won't come on I've also tried to run it dead and charge it again but it just does not work
